Customs My shoebox chop

    I like your opinons for the gas filling

    I will think how to fill in the rear light, i have some ides how to do it.

    I have workt with the door hinges and must drill out every screw to them
    I will thred the holes with M8 and use insex bolts insred of philips screws

    Her's a hinge with new pin.

    Very cool. I have one I need to fix. M8? is that 8mm? isn't that close to 5/16" or am I thinking the wrong way? Seems smaller than stock, but the hole looks to be the stock one just retapped. So it can't be smaller than stock, right?

    You are complety right.
    I drill out with 6.8 mm and tread them it worked on 14 of them well but 2 were necesary to put a nut on the backside. and M8 is little bigger than 5/16 but only .05 mm

    yea i had to use a few nuts on mine too. but i got lucky, all came out with an impact! but a few threads were way gone!

    I have made armrest to behind to rear seat in Stainless steel
    I will maybe dress them. They will be screw to the playwood sides

    I can do some thing on my work. I have posiblity to use laser cuter and bending machine hydralic press milling machine and lathe. And there is tig welder and pipe bendrs too and even key way saw.

    I will not take of the plastic from the ss before i have deside to if i want to dress them becase of risk of scratches.

    I agree S.S is very easy to scratch considering it's a harder metal.

    very impressive...but MAN! I can't believe you don't have some sort of heat in that garage.....looks like time well spent on the roof, it totally changed the car..good luck!

    I have begin with making collectors to the headers i shall make to the flathead.

    I begin to roll sheet metal to cones 88,9mm to 63.5mm [3 1/2" to 2 1/2"]
    And i have press it in a lathe chuck with the insert i the big end.
    The header pipe i think to use is 42x1.5 [1 3/8"x .06"].

    Damn, that's a good idea. You lasered the shape of the die, put it in the big end and closed the chuck to shape the collector, correct?

    It was nice weather here today with -1 C [30F] and sun.
    and her's little snow. For 1 weeks ago were it 40 cm [16"] snow but now is only 0 to 10cm [4"]

    Now are the ready for test in shoebox

    I have clamp the back panels in the car

    After some adjustments the rear seat bottom fit agin.
    Now is time for adjust and make the rear seat back fit good in the shoebox.
