Thanks for all the coments i have get I have started on the rest of the tank lid componets but there is some work left before i have it ready mayby next week or the week after that before i is ready with it. Over to the front seat parts I have weld bracket to hold plywood board inside the frame of the backs and prime the frame /Stefan
Which way are you going to swing the light assembly? I think the pump nozzle would have to take up most of the area below the light. Swing to the outside leaves room for a hinge inside the quarter. Cable latch or something to keep it closed maybe. Just my thoughts. Either way, I cant wait to see what your ideas are and how you will make it work.
What kind of gas cap you are going to use? I think custom motorcycle pop-up style cap could work with your shoebox. They are available in smaller sizes than the regular caps and they need less space than regular cap when closed. But if you like the idea, instead of buying expensive weld-on cap,you probably fab you own.Just a wild guess
I have mading one and it is soon ready. The only special on cap is the size and it is made of Stainless Steel but that's standard for me, like most of my fabrications. I have think of that ide but it was to big my is little smaler ø44mm [1 3/4"] /Stefan
this i cant wait to see. crazy that you take the hard way of doing this. but i think its cause you like giving yourself a challenge!

Her's the bezel screw to the holder. I shall use led lights that have flat backside her's the inside of the filler cap I shall do a test tomorrow if i have time. There will be weld in a pipe for easyer filling in the to of the filler neck and a vent pipe to /Stefan
Thanks for all coments Her's a update of the filler neck and right rearlight Her's a test of the filler asembly. The light is rotated. Thats need some adjustments so the filler cap is more easy to take out. And i need to fix a not so hard spring on the inside, now is near imposeble to move the light without pushing it on the inside. Her's the light move to closed position after some adjustments of inner edge the filler cap is easer to open and remove /Stefan
Great work, Stefan i see You are improving your building skills with every day and You have improved your english too
Stephan, very nice set up for the taillight/filler. Is the threaded piece that lets the light rotate, hollow for wires to go throught for taillight?
yes the 10mm pipe are both for rotating and wires. It is 12 pipe it rotate in welded to the holder and 10 mm pipe is treded with M10x1 treds
