Of course it fits! I wouldn't expect less. So I have been thinking about your pulse generator idea using the ring gear for your trigger wheel. I need to think more about it....Placement is going to be key to making it work. I am not sure if the "pulses" will be close enough together. Will the on/off or spikes induced be a frequency the receiver will be able to translate? If that makes sense.... Brant
Thanks for the commet I will put the abs sensor on the rear part of top of the banjo so the it will trigg right /Stefan
Just found this thread, AMAZING work, you're doing things the majority would end up replacing with a solid or aftermarket part. What next, watching this one.
wow the vent windows are sweet what are you using to cut all thses parts ..and what kinda material are you using
I use the 2 laser cuters on my work and i'm engeer and can draw the parts by my self The matrial is stainless steel My job is a worlds biggest stelizer manufacter to hospital and pharmaceutical industri with customer all over the world. So stainless steel is the normal material on my job a link to my job http://www.getinge.com /Stefan
I worked little with my Granda axle with puting in a abs sensor as speed sensor I have made a hole for the sensor ans weld up a bit for the screw to the sensor Her have i put in the sensor i use the cronegear as trigger I hope it work with a peugoet 206 abs sensor as speed sensor and i have adjust it right /Stefan
not that anyone cares....haha...but my middle name is wynn and my mother got it from a billboard in indiana in 1968 on the way home from a family reunion. i'm named after wynn's friction proofing...pretty neat.
how many wires is that sensor, 3 or 2? Do you have access to an oscilloscope? What is the lowest pulse input that your speedo box will work with?
I have a 2 wire sensor and it make some result on a voltmeter I shall test the box with it se if it works with it I didn't find my instument with puls counter i belve somewone have lend it to car sound bulding
2 wire will be great. The AC pulses as long as they are far enough apart to count as a pulse should work fine..
Hey Brant,I'll come pick ya up in my private jet,and we'll go check it outI'd love too see the car.Lookin good!!!
just sat and read all the thread and amazing work, i love the use of the parts you have a source for, cant wait to see more pics
Can you explain a little about glueing the stainless parts together? I suppose it´s some kind of industrial strength glue?
I have used transperent epoxy glue but it not the best strength and it have a tendency to lose i belve sandblaster the parts before glueing would make wonder /Stefan
I have begin to think about how do with the r&p steering. Her have i put in place by a jack I think to rotate it little and use a adpter so i can use shorter steering bars and better angel to the steering shaft. /Stefan
Stefan, I can't wait to see the rack install finished. Check out the pics in the link of a rack install (Fatman Fab parts). Doesn't look like rocket science. The thing I noticed is the inner tie rods line up with the lower control arm pivot points. http://www.streetrodderweb.com/tech/0902sr_1949_1951_ford_steering_motor_mounts/index.html
