First shot at any work like this... Other than the ****py welds, what do you think?

1 side down, and 1 more to go....

Yeah! Cool touch. Let others know about your headlight idea too. Someone might be sitting on what you need...............

I like the looks, and think it's a good idea, but, for something like this, isn't quality welding the most important part? (Unless you own stock in a filler company).

Looks great, keep practicing on the welds, you are doing and that is 99% of it. Keep it up.
What did the lights come from? And thanks for keeping the side bulges, the car just doesn't look right without them.
Heres mine that I did in my garage. Little to none metal custom touches but I like the stock look.

The lights are 50 pontiac from speedway and the frenching buckets they sell. I added some 3/16" rod around them to give it some shape... got the right side almost done also.. Time to do some 55 olds headlight trim rings in the front. (cutting out the crooked 52 merc rings....)

  17. It's always good to see Young Guns try something different. It'll take me a bit to warm up to them. As long as you like them that's all that matters. Don't worry about your welding skills, they will improve with time.

    Very nice taillights!

Can you tell us about the '49 Plymouth bumper? Is it a front or a rear bumper? And, what did you have to do to make it fit?

    Thanks!
