My dad's first car - Panama C**** Zone 1944 - flathead Ford powered midget racer
He used to give girls rides with them sitting on the tail and putting their legs in the ****pit while they held on to his shoulders. It was all fun until one girl got scared and put her hands over his eyes....

A 30's American Austin grille shell would look great. I've got a 31 but it's flat. A 38 round one would show it was built from era cars and not by a fabricator..Good Luck.

Thanks for the inspiration ! I'd love a head to head with Cactus. Building this car for 2017 Trog east . After that I will most likely sell it like I do with everything. :)

Your welcome KoolKat...I knew you would like the pics as they are glimpses back in time helping shape the Hotrod era we share and aspire to here at the Hamb. Those are truly works of automotive art. When I look at the old pics I think about how much fun they were having. That was their height of youth. Your quite a motivated builder like so many on here. I guess letting go of things is like selling a painting/artwork except these artworks snort a little...:D
Glad to have a front row seat here.

[IMG][IMG][IMG]had to replace the rear crossmember with a wider one to open up the frame a little to fit the flatty. Used a slightly modified 8rt motor mount from Pete in the front and some model a motor mounts to hang the trams.
