It's been nagging me what it it that seems so right. I've realized it's because it has the feel of the Stu Hilborn streamliner. No wonder it looks so right! Well done!

 

This build just keeps getting better.

 

Ray, This is Joe Sostilios Indy 1958 winners ring. His best friend was the great Jimmy Bryan who won the race in the yellow Belond Exhaust Special. Joe was on the pit crew that year and the crew members received these rings. the 90 in diamonds represents the 3 pit stops that set a new record that year for 90 seconds. When Joe p***ed ,He left me this ring, all his trophies and his OFFY engine tools and most important wonderful memories and a GREAT friendship.

Wow that ring is amazing. When you described it to me I never imagined it being as cool as it is. What a great reminder of someone you hold in such high regard. Thank you so much for sharing the history with me both here and in person . Without telling the stories they would be lost to time.

How bout a chrome single pipe that comes out of the hood side above the rail then runs all the way back below the #36 ? Dual exhaust three ports per side of the car.

I see a strong grown mans soap box derby vibe here.
