For a Chain steering wheel looks well made but I'm not a pro on these things.

Would this thread be considered an intro ?

Nice start to your tig welding fabrication world. Custom steering wheels are cool, but chain wheels are so biker dude style and the spider web thing won't be popular here.

Now, do us all a favor. Put the welding gloves on your hands when your welding. The welding bench will do just fine with out the glove protection, but your hands will not. Gene

I opened the video and spewed Coke zero up my nose. Man that stuff burns :D

My next impulse was to throw up.

+ 1 on the gloves, and get some coverage over your bare arms too. At least a long sleeved shirt 100% cotton , a light welding jacket would be ideal. Only fools weld like that.

Now smash it with a hammer to see how strong your welds are! Good practice!

Buy some nice leather gloves and build a banjo wheel next!

  22. Not only doesn't it look round, it will probably crumple at the first sight or a corner, let alone stuff like that doesn't belong on a hot rod....

Sits back waits for the movie to get hotter...

I'm not a fan of chain steering wheels but I like seeing things that are hand-made. Nice job!
