I think someone else mentioned that as well and I'd agree, there is a potato museum not too far from here. I'll suggest that to him.

The early Plymouth 2door wagon, the early Stude Starlight coupe, the COE trucks, that weapons carrier tracked ch***is and the converted halftrack are the money in that pile. The Caddys, of course, would bring a nice chunk of change for parts.

Knowing this guy it wouldn't surprise me at all if he didn't do some of that with the caddy engines, however the engines are in some of the caddy's as far as I know, the 56 had the lower half of the engine.

Strange, I don't see a '60 Caddy in the bunch...the silver one on its side is a '63 or '64...the rest are '55's and the '56...

  9. Right you are! Too quick on the keyboard trigger....is that 1/4 panel trim the same as a 60? I know the 60 part is about that length. The one I have is bent to **** and not worth shipping to him.

Most of it looks save-able. Maybe a big sale?
BTW... is it just me or does everything look like only the frontends sank in the ground?

Looking at the Studebaker it has wood under the back, I wonder if he threw wood under the back ends for some reason?

24 stud 59A/B. Fan on the crank makes it a 39 or 40 (I think). V8-60s only had 17 studs and screw-in water pumps.

  14. This may be WWII Japanese and worth sending out to the military resto guys- they may just go nuts over it... and my advice/finders fee is just one of those Caddy Coupes :D

Depends on what your building. The V8 60's are great candidates for traditional roundie-round guys. I don't think it's a 24 stud. All fans where on the gen to my knowledge. Even 24 studs. This one was changed for some reason. It looks to be more of an industrial/farm engine (low miles, low torque use). The air filter was not for performance it was used for high dust areas (and a good piece for restoration guys). The diver helmet dizzy is early flathead pre40s'. 42'ish up is a crab dizzy maybe a year or to earlier. 37-38 21 bolts have less speed equipment available (alum heads) but a great engine. Just off the top of my head anyway.

Idaho, half-tracks, and garage ba*****ts. Might be some real cool stuff down there.... Be safe spelunking:eek:

Those poor trucks can be modified and can become new one. I want to see some photos of them. :D

  18. I may have missed the answer somehow, but was wondering what is the
use/purpose of this Studebaker truck? Can't tell what that rig on the
    back does.
