Finally joined. I've read the forum for awhile now, but decided to join today. Let's see, a little about me. I have been into cars since I can remember. My earliest memorys include my dad's 64 Chevy pickup and him repainting an old Mach 1 that he sold a few years after the repaint. Really haven't had the place or time to work on anything yet. I am an ex-welder who stopped welding to join the US Army. I have going back and forth between the states and the middle east for the 5 years. Currently I am stationed in Kuwait. My job in the army is to supply telephones and internet to people in the field. It's not all bad. I get to check my email in the field. I have a few projects that I want to get working on asap. I bought 2 1931 Chevy pickups with the intention of making 1. Nothing really done on them. I refreshed a SBC for it. 350 with mild cam and twin duces. My other project is a 1930 Model A Sedan Todor. My goal with that is to go old school. I want it with a later flathead or a Buick Nailhead. It's got to be a highboy on '32 rails. Not sure about the grill yet. I have '46 Ford front suspension and rearend for it. It's gotta look like it just stepped out of the 50's. I have a lot of work to do on it. So I am glad to be here and I will post a few pics of my stuff in the future.
Thank you for serving your country. Sounds like you got lots of projects to keep you busy when you're at home.
