[ QUOTE ] Awww come on guys... you won't hurt my feelings. [/ QUOTE ] Well in that case... The condition is terminal, its called black-a-gunk-a-nastyness. life expectancy is 2 days. I'm sorry. Make the last few days the best. I'll keep him in my prayers. I have no idea, but at least you got a response!!
That's Kentucky Fried Oil you're seeing. Your guides and their seals have issues. Therapy is indicated...
could be pure BS but I was told some years ago to get your engine warmed up nice and then get the revs up and with a squirt bottle mist water down the carb, supposedly knocks them chunks of crud off but I never tried it cause with my luck it would work and a piece the size of a cat turd would bust off and bang around in a cylinder til it busted something
vt, don't you dare trash that car. you still owe me a ride in it and i'm thinking that the hamb drags would be a good place to pay off...
use some carb cleaner in the tank some berrymans or something....maybe some Marvel Mystery oil in your crankcase that***** does wonders believe me!!
Sounds normal for an older engine with valve seals that are leaky. If you don't want to get too involved just live with it. Otherwise pull the heads and clean the valves, putting new seals on there. I have a 350 that pretty much does the same thing. But the motor runs great so it a question of if it ain't broke don't fix it for me. Someday I will do a rebuild, but its my daily right now so that will have to wait. 189k miles and counting.
Had a few of em like that, but they all ran great. If any of that***** was chunky, might want too change the oil if any of it fell off. I use a shop vac every time I pull an intake to remove the pieces of gasket, crud, coolant water ect.. and then I always change the oil after an intake swap or removal.
