Nice truck you found there, in super condition! I've had mine a long time, and always thought they were pretty rare. But I've seen more on the HAMB than 30 years of car shows. Here's mine:

Very nice score. Being a a Mopar man, Im a little jealous. My family is originally from Jeff City, brewed beer there for a couple generations. I havent had any Central Dairy ice cream in a while. Enjoy your new purchse.

What a sweet truck, I have MoPar soft spot. It is about as nice as you could find, Congrats! I am sure you will leave all the great patina and original charm. ~sololobo~

Nice truck! I wouldn't use the ranger rear... swap the gears out or use a later mopar rear so you can keep the same bolt pattern.

  18. For the brakes, check with www.rustyhope.com
See if his kit will work on the earlier trucks...I used it on my 52 Dodge 1/2 ton.

On my truck, the rear end from a 96 Jeep Cherokee (not grand) was pretty close to a straight swap. Just needed to weld on new spring perches. You might have to shorten the drive shaft, but the u-joints were the same.

I have the rear end I took out of my truck, but it's probably too long a drive for you to get it...and putting in a modern Jeep rear with 3.55 gears will make a nice difference in the ride and rear brakes, so it's not worth the gas for you to come get it.

    Great looking truck!

This kind of vehicle (unmolested original) is fast becoming extinct and you just latched onto one of the few remaining. I think your on the right track with your plans. Be sure to keep us up to date as you make it yours.
