My birthday was yesterday and my Lovely Wife (I call her LW for short) surprised me with the new Doug Nason and Greg Escalante book "Rat Fink, the art of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth". Seems she was paying attention when I was reading about it in the new RJ. Also got a seat cover for the old pichup and a cut-off tool, but the book blew me away because she is not really into the car thing and had to order it, so she went to some trouble to get it. Started reading it today and Ed was apretty amazing guy. Great book IMHO.

Happy Birth day GV, that is a great book and the one By Pat Ganhl compliments it very well. To very good read but done totally different. Ed Roth truly was and still is one of the greats!!!
My girlfriend and her parents bought that book for me for Christmas. Sometimes I think the car stuff goes in one ear and out the other, but she's obviously retaining something. I never once mentioned the book or implied that I wanted one, but it was a great choice.
