Just your average 6 footer Mark, Its really not much special, just regular fab work, it probably looks better because its polished.
nothing average bout your fab skills my friend.....the polishing certainly helps, but I still see great fab skills
Wow. If it hasn't already, this thread should be stickied in the tech section. Way too many good ideas to get lost in the gigantic pool of information known as the HAMB... Amazing.
Well the last few evening have been quite exhausting !!! Seeing as this is a street car also I needed a full exhaust system so I picked up a pair of 2.5" bore Smithy mufflers, I decided against running the system under the car and have gone with a under sill mounted system which exits just in front of the rear wheels. This is very easily removed by a few bolts either side. Firstly I made up some brackets that would take cotton reel rubber mounts in compression that would bolt to the floor. Next a mount was made and welded to the muffler on each end. Gaskets were made in Reinz heatproof gasket material Then the complete muffler/bracket was bolted through the floor. Next a stainless tail pipe was made from a 45 degree bend and some straight tube, the end was slash cut and looks just right. Next some more stainless bends were cut and welded to hook into the header collector, this section is painted black VHT as i don't want it to show. .
Your project is great! Impressive that you take the time to do so many things by yourself. And a Willys cant go wrong.
Thanks Kyle, Wish i could get it done quicker, getting pretty excited now !!! Whats with your avatar mate ? Do you have a G***er Circus over there ?
No, a guy i know sent me this picture and i loved the art (Huge Willys Fan anyway) and I thought It was pretty appropriate for my interest. I wish we had a G***er Circus over here!
Wow, there are parts on the helicopters that I work on that are less-engineered than your exhaust-hangers. Truely impressive.
I do not have any "hard copies" of the artwork but maybe you could contact surf monkey on here. He did the artwork for it. He may know where to get a shirt or poster.
Langy, Looks like you are getting closer to your coupe being a driver - oooppss I mean closer to being a G***ER ! Will be looking for the video of your first BURN OUT ! Gonna be one mean Hombre . . . . Dave
Take special care to make sure you're wearing your knickers next time you share pics of polished stainless steel this shiny.
