OK. So, progress slowed for a bit while I dinked with my new coupe. But I'm back to it now. Bummed I miss eagle field, but at any rate, here we go...

Had to make a new center section that included a driveline hoop. Here's what I started with...

    Then some of this:

    And a little of this:

While I waited around to make sure nothing was on fire after I was done for the day, I started prepping and taping off my driveline.

Here's where I ended with it........

Doubt it. I was planning to have my 36 skirted and lowered by that time and take it anyway.

Well ****. Thought it was 12" from what I remembered. No big deal, the only races this truck will be running will likely be ones like the Eruption Drags, etc. Where NHRA tech doesn't apply. If it becomes an issue I can alter this one easily/add a second hoop to meet the requirements. I doubt it will become a huge issue.

    Thanks for the info.

Really like your truck. Have fun with it! My Plymouth has multiple violations.

Making some progress. Got the cab back on the frame. Just starting to make my hood tilt and test fitting it. Feeling good it's going back together and looking like a truck..[IMG]

I sold the green coupe a while back. I plan to build another one after I'm able to secure a 36 3 window project. (long term type goal)

Nice build - looks awesome! I gotta stop looking at g***er builds before I decide to scratch doing a trad mild custom and throw under a straight axle! Some other day maybe....

    Love your personal touches...

Thanks Charlie! I know what you mean. There was a point where I seriously considered plucking my A coupe body off the frame and building a g***er out of it! One at a time I suppose.........

Well, I've been picking away at the truck and making progress.

My friend Eric Black sent me the finished rendering, which I am in love with....
