Guys, I'm so sorry I've been MIA for months. Work has been insane and I've been working 70+ hour weeks all year. The little spare time I've had has been family time and just a little coyote hunting when I can sneak out for a few hours here and there.

So.... I haven't gotten anything done car-wise at all. Bob, however, has been chipping away at things and making progress. He said last night he wants this out of his shop before the end of summer.

Steering and front brakes almost done. With the hand built steering arms the brakes need to be pre-adjusted as close as possible. There's very little room to get a wrench in there.


More steering, more brakes.

Steering shaft from the Mustang box forward is in and set.



Can't tell from the tiny pics in the thumbnails but you might be able to see the very complicated and artistic brake pedal lever...

So a cool little detail Bob shows how to make in his videos is this tasty little detail.

Headlight loom covers...


Machined aluminum stock...


Threaded on one end and JUST big enough to cover the headlight nut...


Twist it on and the nut disapears.


Then use stainless shower hose for your wire loom. It has a little "spring" to it so it rides freely between the two machined pieces. Just add wire.

 

All looking damn fine, do I get to give you a hand to fire up the 283???JW

Dude, yes, Scottsdale! Might be spring 2017 though because, if I recall, the fall Scottsdale show is on Thanksgiving weekend. If so I'll be doing family stuff, if not we'll see you there!
