Took my Mom home yesterday from the hospital so she can live her last moments at home. My mom has cancer in her spine and bones and I do not wish this torment on my worse enimies. She was a 4' 10' bombshell. My Mom has put up with gearheads all her life and she loved it.

    Will always love you Mom

This is without a doubt one of the toughest things in life. My mom passed away 378 days ago. We brought her home, her last wish really, and she was surrounded by her family at the end. You are doing the right thing for sure, as hard as it is. Peace be with your mother and you..

I've been through this type of thing with both my parents and both ladyhrp's as well.

Being with them during their last days and holding their hands while breathing their last breath made it easier to let them go,and I know they are in a better place,,,you and your family are in my prayers. HRP

Your Mom, you and your family are in our prayers. We lost our youngest son ... it pains the heart to lose a loved one. Those we hold dear to our hearts, live on in the kindness that they showed us and in what they taught us about life and living.
    God Bless!

Sorry to hear that Skipper. My mom had breast cancer and it took everything out of her. Knowing what a great dude you are I can confidently say she was a fantastic mom who took her important role as a parent very seriously.

May she find comfort and warmth from the love you've surrounded her with. His bless you and your family buddy.

So sorry Skip....the worst news I'll hear for a long time, no doubt.
Many of us have experienced the loss of our moms, but each person and each mom is unique.
So many things race through your mind and, yet, you can't control any of the outcome.
We hot rod folks like to control, to drive, to be in charge and to make the decisions of when to turn and when to stop. We like to think that we are capable of making decisions that will help us excel.
People like us are strangers in a situation where we become passengers.
We sit in the backseat of LIFE or we sometimes don't like the route that's chosen or think we ought to slow down or speed up, but the driver can't hear us nor can we speak.
We ride, grit our teeth and hope for a smooth and safe trip. For the most part we arrive in one piece and happy.
Other times the car careens into dangerous paths that sometimes causes us great grief.
    Were passengers.
Your Mom did her job. She was a great Mom and a Mom like no other.
While you and your family will miss her, you were fortunate to have her love for as long as you did.
We grieve because it is us who suffer from the loss, but she will move on to be in a place that is pain free.
You and your family will be fine.
    Not today.
    Not next week.
But, you will be OK, all of you will.

    Doug
