Myrtle Beach - What's to do while in town?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 59BuickWagon, May 7, 2004.

  1. We're heading down to Myrtle Beach next week for Bike Week. I'm going with three other rodders so are there any shops or rod related "gotta sees" in the area for when we get tired of looking at biker babes in thongs?

Do go to Deriers(SIC?) ALL nude...unless you dont want to see 25 or 30 neked chicks at one time.No rod shops there that I found.............but I could be wrong.

Well there is always golf, minature and fullsize. Other than that a bunch of wannabee bikers who took the week previous off so they didn't have to shave. And don't forget the yahoos who just show up 'cause it's bike week, and they don't have a bike. Oh yeah be very careful and lock everything you own up, there are a ton of thieves that show up, and it seems to get worse every year. And tell Paul and Pauly hello...

Most everyone goes down to Murell's Inlet. It is 20 or so miles south of Myrtle Beach on Hwy 17 S. It is the freak show. Swap meet, bars and fun galore. Suck, Bang Blow is the hot spot. Bands, beer and babes. A lot of RUBS.

My wife and I like to eat seafood down there. We go to the Admiral's Flagship. It is the last seafood place on the right, about a mile or so down the road from Suck, Bang Blow. Good food and reasonable price. It is buffet. Diccounted price before 5 PM.

Darlington SC is not that far and Kyle Gibbons has his fiberglass plant there. It's 1 mile from the Darlington NASCAR track. Neat museum at the track and Kyle is a cool guy.

My brother and I go evry two or three years........not this year.....

Have fun and be careful.........like stated before.....this event draws a lot of crooks and trash......

  6. Thanks guys. We'll try and be careful and lock everything up and keep the noise down. We go to Laconia every year so we're used to the crowds and traffic. Heard a lot about the Suck, Bang, Blow - must be the Broken Spoke of Myrtle Beach:)

Suck, Bang Blow has Tshirt contests....and it takes skin to win. Burnout contest ....most of the time you have to burn it till it pops to win. Lots of folks walking around...babes......almost drunk and almost naked [IMG] . It is a party.

The police are a little zealous. There are harder on young folks than greybeards. I have never had any trouble with them but I DID NOT do anything ignorant or stupid either.

I know you are used to going places and how to travel........ It is like Daytona ........just smaller ( do not do anything stupid ).
