Jive-Bomber submitted a new blog post: Mysterious S****book Photos... Continue reading the Original Blog Post
You are right, very cool and need to be shared. My favourite might be the one of the shirtless guy fitting trim rings on a ride that doesn’t even have a rad yet…
That channeled Model A looks like the one that caused all the mothers on my street to keep us all inside whenever they could hear it. That was in Salt Lake City in 1957 or 1958. Even now I wish I could get a ride in it.
I think you have that wrong. He's taking trim rings OFF and putting Olds Fiesta spinners on it. That was top of the line rolling stock in 1957.
All 4 are great. I kinda like the one with the kids on the bikes in the background. "period correct".
The 30 on Deuce rails looks like it might be a relative of Joey’s. Can’t help identifying any of these Rods, but thanks for posting them.
The second photo of 32 roadster with the high mounted split wishbones was taken in Michigan. I’ve seen it before, it also might be on the Hot Rods of Dearborn website.
The dude in the p***enger seat of the Deuce roadster looks familiar. Wasn't there a picture of this guy, another guy & a chick all sitting in the roadster, shown from the front of the car? Not sure if I seen it here or on another site.
This one is the Fred Merkley roadster.....it has it's own Kustomrama page and Craig Pettman is a member here. Dan Wittenberg has quite a history too.....covered here many times. https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Fred_Merkley's_Roadster
Pic #3 of the guy in the roadster reveals a boy (just above the steering wheel) that looks like (slightly younger?) the kid posted with the Brew 102 coupe. Possibly Dad took him to the lakes meet in the roadster, then posed him in front of the coupe. I seem to recall pics of that coupe w/o the kid perhaps in one of the Don Montgomery books? It's a killer looking coupe. I noticed it has a face painted on the front splash shield. Brew 102 was a Los Angeles brewed economy (****py) beer. I remember their brewery was ****ed up against the freeway in LA with a lot of signage.
No kidding, it has everything in it. The hot rod, the kids with bikes, other cars and the houses......even the stop sign is cool.
