Anyone know any info or recognize this 41 Ford ? This was my grandfathers car and my grandmother gave me this picture. On the back it said it was taken shortly after getting it back from barris customs in hollywood in 1958 after having the top chopped and was an auto award winner after completion, he was 23. His name was Gary Conn lived outside of hollywood for 20 plus years, went to high school there then moved back to kansas. Also raced at san gabriel...ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT !!:D

    Thanks Farmrod

  2. sure someone will chime in....it should be in mags of the day - 1958-59...look for customs....Barris Bros did some work that maybe didn't get alot of fan fare and such...just saying - good luck....

Looks like a very nice chop from the picture, and a '41 is a hard one to cut right. A lot of the early ones are wonky looking, before Photoshop and the collective knowledge of the last 50 years, but that one looks real nice.

  7. does the trophy have a date or meet info such as fall meet - ?....most likely won't have the year but the "spring meet champ" we could start looking in the months of May-June in the car mags - they usually posted the results next month or so...Hot Rod mag could bea start...

    post info that you have...

x2 on Rickster - he knows alot of Customs....
