  1. My neighbor has been doing some work in his rental house. He has found some old WA license plates (30's & 40's) and found this in a crawl space. We think it's some sort of grill guard that attaches to a bumper. The photos don't show it very well but it was once chromed. It's very solid and heavy. Anybody know if it's from a car and if so, what year & make?

update: the 'hole' in the lower right of photo 1, and top left of photo 2 (closest to tape measure) is actually the end of a metal bracket/strap that wouldn't be seen if it the guard was mounted up. I didn't notice that rear bracket peaking out when I took the photos.

Many of those were aftermarket universal deals sold at auto parts stores. JC whitney used to have 2 or three pages of them in the catolog.

No stamped in markings on the back side???

  4. Most of these were pretty generic, although they could have been "authorized" dealer installed options. Probably impossible to match it to a spacific make or year.

  5. Nothin', I gave it a going over and didn't see anything but rust, dirt, flaking chrome and spider eggs.
