Say that five time real fast! All I see is this getting worse. I think with some guidance you can turn that into something . . .

Your ideas are perfectly acceptable, just not here.

If you had taken the time to read the forum rules (it says Read This First! on the page where you should have made your introduction) then you would already know this.

Please do read it. This is what the site is all about. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44274

BTW, I'm not responding to "have the last word", I'm responding to let you know there are other places where your car (parts?) may be better received.

  3. All FNG's get flamed, that's the way it is:p If your a new guy post something stupid and stand back and get your dues. Then learn to watch and listen. The info on this board is priceless.

BTW, not everyone has a 32 sitting in thier garage.

  5. OK I wanna get the last word in, I personally didn't bad mouth your ride even when I said that the rear radius rods were overkill. There is a lot to not like about it and some things that are alright as some things go. Actually I've owned a lot of underpowered cars over the years but in all honesty 300 hp is a sissy motor any way you look at it.

I love the way that some of the new guys come on here with mother's milk still in their mouths and try and tell us what is trad, good remark about the POS SBC. Back at the tail end of what we consider to be true traditional hot rodding there were a lot more SBCs being used then late model jap 6s. Before you should try and tell someone about the rules of the board you should try and understand what it is you're talking about. Hell sometimes its best to swallow first so you don't drool that crap all down your chin when you try and speak.

Now I don't doubt that someone is going to get a better last word in here but before they do i'd like to say to Mizlplix don't take it personal man, if you want to build it build it. if someone doesn't like it you were forwarned is all. I really don't care if you use a rubber band to power it; if it floats your boat its fine by me. Hell we gotta a guy on here that couldn't even figure out how to hook a throttle cable to his V-6 powered rustbucket and there are folks who worship his every word so I'm sure someone will like your stuff also.

OK that's enough drama for this old heart in one day, carry on.

300 hp out of a six is far from sissy!
Hell some can't figure out why they aren't getting any spark to get their iron running:)

  7. Guess we come from different worlds I always figured that 375 to 425 was just a healthy street motor.:D:D

Hell I was reading an article the other day about a 4 banger in a later model salt car that's cranking out over a grand. granted its modern tech but so's the jap 6 in question.

Damn I feel a heart attack comming on I better find something less dramatic. :D

    Well put.

Flaming of the FNG's happens here frequently. Don't think you're the only one. Most of us have got a flogging at some point or another. Just the lay of the land around here.

Mizlplix sir. To provide a quick point to you to help you understand. The HAMB is just set up a certain way and people like the way it is and don't want things to change. It's not that we're not open to different ideas related to rodding and the automotive hobby in general, the HAMB is just a place to talk about CERTAIN TYPES of ideas (explained elsewhere on the forum as well as above in the thread). It's like walking into a Viper only club with a Honda Prelude and telling everyone "look what I'm building" and expecting them to be open to your ideas. They may have a Honda at home, but they would know better than to stray off topic in a Viper only club meeting... Dig?

Good luck with your build. Don't be offended and please stick around. All knowledge is welcome and I'm sure you have something to provide to that HAMB that would specifically compliment what's going on around here.

    Cheers.

Damn Beaner, it wasn't necessary for you to post for me, but I do appreciate the effort. His(the guy Beaner was refering to) wisdom just keeps spreading like the plague, but It's nice to know the "enlightened" camp gets bigger with each passing day. Has everyone had their anti-bullshit meds today?
