    I know it's Ford...but what model exactly.
Garbox is smal about half size of the regular 3speed transmission...some kind of a reduction box ? Truck?

  4. with that shifter tower it is most likely a truck box.

probably from a Popular, Anglia, or similar. Like the 100E, or something.

It resembles a T-96. Could have started life as an Early Ford GWP (their version of the Jeep) Transmisson.

They were also often adapted for use on fishing boats.

    Yep
My uncle had a small machine shop that he built at home, a number of his machines used them.

Here's a drawing of the LH side of an earlier 8/10HP trans. Sure looks like it.

The mystery transmission looks like it's from a 1930's four cylinder, 933cc or 1172cc Ford. The right side view shows two threaded bosses, for mounting part of the hand brake mechanism. Also on the right side is an inspection hole for the oil level. I have seen this kind of gearbox housing on a 1937-38 1172cc four cylinder Ford.

Later versions of this gearbox are basically the same but don't have the two bosses on the right side and they have a dipstick at the top front corner, right side, instead of the inspection hole on the side. (See part number 7179 in AccurateMike's diagram.) There is one sitting on the floor next to me right now (an empty housing). (I have become a bit too familiar with these things.)

The 'tower' that the gear lever fits into looks a bit taller than I would expect but that could be a distortion in the photo.
