Any current or back in the day New Jersey guys out there...
I'm looking for a Thundering Turtles of Dumont club plaque for my Dad's 70th birthday.
I've checked with Dennis @ O'Brian, no luck. Any leads would be apreciated, even one that could be copied.
    Thanks

Dumont/Tenefly area. Probably a small club, but I know there were plaques.

Thanks for the help guys...I've been searching Ebay but no luck.
I know one of my Dad's high school buddys had one, but he recently p***ed away and I dont think it would be cool to ask his widow.
00 Mack, thanks for the lead, I called Tony and left him a message.

Check with "Uncle Doug" at All Good Stuff Automotive (410-437-8253).
He has a huge collection of club plaques hangin' in his garage located in Maryland.

Ask the wife if you could borrow it to get a recreation made. That might lead to a sale.

Try posting a "wanted" ad in the local Dumont/Tenefly newspaper. It may lead you to a club member with a plaque. Good luck.

I spoke with Roy Soff, he said he never heard of them, but he would look into it....He told me that there were SO many clubs back then, it was hard to keep up with them.

Thanks alot for looking! I really appreciate everyone's effort. I've struck out everywhere so-far. His B-day is today, but I'm not giving up! We found 2 copys of the 1957 Rod and Custom that had his car in the Hartford CT. Autorama coverage at the LARS, and he wasn't even sure of year, month, or which mag it was in!
    The search continues.......

Of course I do have (and sell ) the original pattern for the Turtles plaque shown in the post above. It was made by Speed Gems and used in their very first ad in Hot Rod back in the mid 50's. It was also sold as a stock plaque by JC Whitney and other mail order houses back in the day.
