b-t-w; in case anyone's interested I scanned the instructions that came in the box from nickthebandit. Here it is. It's an Adobe pdf file. I thought I could upload it directly to here so it is visible here but apparently you will have to click on the link/icon to see it. One side is for Chevrolet installation and the other side is for Buick.

Thanks for the scans, stuff like that is always good to have for future reference.

You say your engine guy is only checking out things and re-***embling. Before he does you should call the Martins at Centerville Auto. They are a wealth of info on the various maladies unique to Nailheads
and how to correct them. Great supply of the correct parts for Buicks.

Turns out that one cylinder had pits in it so the engine is getting bored, pistons, rings, cam, lifters, valves, bearings, etc., etc., etc. The whole nine yards. And Centerville is involved. I've had their website bookmarked for quite a while, and 50-some others also. The engine guy (a hamber, b-t-w) is in contact with the Martins. Many (most???) of the new parts are coming from Centerville.

Thanx for taking your time to mention them, though.

As much as you are going to have in that motor i would buy an MSD and have more spark and more reliability.

We have the distributor out of a 425, it's a later model that takes the windowed cap.

...right up until it isn't, at which point you don't get it working again with a nail file and a screwdriver.
