i'm guessing you've got the original A frame? I'm running a 322 with stock A frame. I had to move the box forward (56 f-100) about 2 3/4 inch or so and tilt it backwards to clear the block. To do that I had to cut the flange off and re-weld it, and cut the pitman arm and re-weld it in the new proper location. Unfortunately I also had to use a steering u-joint. There is not a lot of room at all. Other than running a vega box or something it's going to be a tight fit. I don't know about an f-1 box as the shaft enters from the bottom side. I would think you could mount the box on top of the frame then worry about headers later...i'll have to look around for a good picture of how i set mine up. i'll let you know if i find one. Sorry

    Hi
I`ve got an olds engine with the starter on the drivers side, I use a VW transporter steering box. I`ts very tight, but hopefully it works.
Dont really know how your engine looks tho.
