Can anyone recommend an engine builder in the DFW metroplex or between OKC and Austin that has expertise and skill with doing a rebuild on a 425 nailhead. I've read several blog spots and it seems that they are somewhat tricky and it will take someone that is familiar with them to do the job correctly. All input is appreciated!
You may have seen my thread "not so good vibrations", so I will agree, make sure the builder has experience with these. Russ, from www.nailheadbuick.com, seems to be THE Go-to-guy. Been at it since back in the day. Shoot him an e-mail. Always gets back to you in a timely manner, with straight up answers. Despite my many years as a professional technician, I still made a few dumb mistakes, that he helped me with. His tech tips are gospel. Read them all at least twice, so you don't screw up like someone we know. May be worth the money to send it to him. When I do my next Olds Rocket, it's going to Ross Racing to get run in on the dyno. Worth every penny. These old lumps are costing in the $5G's range, so can't afford to mess up. JT
