I am new to Nailheads. I am having a problem with it stalling out when at a red light. I am going to check the plugs, wires, and vacume lines. Any other ideas? Its a 401
in a 63. Someone said the caps go bad alot on nailheads.
Anything to look for? I love the motor in car. I have already thought about pulling the sbc in my 48 GMC and putting a Nailhead in it.

What's the idle speed? Stalls only when hot? Cold? Both? Stalls in gear? Outta gear?

Hot and cold. When I start it, it starts right up and then
it runs ruff. I will tap the pedal and it smooths out.
When driving I stop at light it stalls in gear. I will put it back in gear and it will start right up in snap. It has been cold hear. Below 30.

Hehe, join the club. Check your choke, make sure it's working. Adjusted mine, it now stay running when cold.
