Well, my wife isn't talking to me but my friends and I had a great time dropping the nailhead into the deuce on Mothers Day yesterday. Next we'll trial fit the firewall with a little recess for the distributor and then locate the '37 Ford steering column. It looks as if the steering will clear the starter and the and the Sanderson center dump header
I just picked up a nailhead remote oil filter adapter so maybe a Hildebrandt on the firewall?!?! Yeah, it's mated to a Tremec 5-speed witha '65 Skylark GS bellhousing and a Winters QC.
A thing of beauty. Love your engine. Is it a 5 pseed behind it? I got my naily the Friday before Mum's day. I hope it looks as beautious as yorn when it's all growed up
I have a nailhead in my 33 Chevrolet and its backed by a T-5 BW. NOTHING sounds as good as a nailhead in 5th gear chugging along. I went through Benton Tennessee ( speed trap of hwy 411) in 5th gear only running 35mph, torque is nice thing to have
There is a guy in another thread that wants to pu a T-5 behind a 322 but the word is out there that a Nailhead will take apart a T-5 (I personally disagree) sounds like you get by OK.
what's that alternator mount from? did you fab it, buy it? looks way better than the mid-60's style way off to the pass. side...
It's lookin good, Dave...great to see you're making some progress. As many years as you and your wife have been together, she'll get over it!
Yes, it is Russell Martin's mount. The alternator is a 60W from a Kabuta tractor which Russell recommended. I bought it on epay. What more do I need than 60W in a roadster..lights, what else. The music will come from the Rolling Bones-style exhaust under each door, a cut up '36 Ford driveshaft with baffles installed! Like Bill V's roadtser shown here
