Technical Nailhead Water pump help

Need a new water pump for my nailhead. A new one would be my choice if possible.

Checked with Canadian vendors and all I can find are re-manufacturered pumps.

A Buick parts vendor in Phoenix lists a pump that is highly rated, but in communication with them is no longer available. Apparently their manufacturer quite making them.

A re-builder in Oregon apparently does a good job, but it is expensive to send a core there grom Canada.

A couple of the large US parts vendors list new pumps under the Cardono Select brand and under the GMB brand. Has anyone had any experience with either of these brands?

Any tips or experiences are greatly appreciated, either as a reply or a PM.

They had one when I needed a pump.

 

I bought one off rockauto.com last year and thought it was a very good manufactured looking pump. I think it was a Cardone brand pump...

 

There is a shop in Toronto that rebuilds them. Had mine done there, 20000 miles and no problems. E mail me at springgrange@personainternet.com if you want me to get a name and contact info I dealt through a local machine shop. I have also seen an add in Street Rodder for an Aluminum nailhead pump. Believe they were sold by a firm in Michigan but have no other info.

 

What flavour of Nailhead? I know NAPA lists pumps for a few, or at least did last time I checked, and of the three pumps (though none were for nailheads) I have used that came from NAPA, I have yet to have any issues with them.

 

1927graham: have talked to Russ Martin on other items, while his web site says he ships to Canada, his e-bay store states he will not ship a water pump to Canada.

FEdman: Bobs Auto has a interesting site but only lists pumps up to 53-54, mine is a 66.

Rick: hoping to find a new pump, hoping. I know they are out there. I can get a re-built Cardone from NAPA here in Winnipeg.

Old-Soul: NAPA lists a new pump and a re-built on their Canadian web site, but when I talked to them the only pump they are handling now in Canada is the re-built one. The search continues.

Still trying to find if anyone besides Baumi has had any experience with new Cardone Select or GMB brand pumps?
