name that balancer!

hey anyone know what this balancer is for? ive never seen it hanging off a rocket before.the rubber is on the outside,and notice the slot for the timming mark.

the backside is also flat?

 

I have one that looks similar to that. I just assumed it was off and early 303.

I have that exact same balancer laying on the floor in my garage now... it's the 53 Olds 303 Rocket... I have most of the rest of the crap to go along with it except the short block.
