I went to an auction last weekend and there was supposed to be a '34 Ford body, well she aint no '34 Ford. Doesnt appear to be any of the Big 3 automakers. No one seemed to know what it really is, buyer wouldnt say, he just said it will make a good Hotrod. Everyone there had there own opinion(and they varied greatly). I sold for more than I wanted to pay, especially not knowing what it was, how hard it would be to get other parts. If you made it a hotrod you could do anything you wanted, but if its unique enough finding the grill shell and a few parts to really top it off could be a challenge in itself. Sold for $1400 Here are a few pics...
Think you could post smaller photo's,? Hard to see much detail but from what little I can see it looks like a 32 PB Plymouth,,but I've been wrong before. HRP

Man,,It's a sad day for our Hobby when a pile of S**** Iron brings that kind of $$$. Just think what good builder will bring if this keeps happening. The Wizzard
I forget you guys on the other coast half to start with S**** unlike us over here. I often forget how lucky I am. The Wizzard
Well In not sure how to get the pics to show up larger, on my computer they are fine. Any ideas? Thanks
I heard that. I think the worst thing that happened to our hobby is Barrett F'ing Jackson. Every Tom, **** and Harry with their uncles old Dodge thinks he's got a $100K car if it was just restored. Andy L. Kaempfer St. Louis, MO
that feeling is all perspective.. its just like if you are the buyer or seller on how you feel about this issue, or how you view it personally im glad my **** is worth more to someone with all that money
You are Right! I talked to a woman with a 1931 Desoto in her yard. The top rotted out, then the interior and floor, taking the lower body with it. By the time I got there the only thing left was the stainless headlites and grill and the cast iron axles and engine/trans. She said, "That car is worth a lot of money!" I asked "Why do you think that?' She saw a 31 Desoto in a museum with a $30,000 price tag. She didnt understand that you would have to spent $50,000 to make it worth $30,000
If the only value of a car to you is the dollar value, you're not much of a car enthusiast. You are a dollar enthusiast.
