Personally, I've never named a car or truck. BUT, if a name is really something that is important to you, it'll come to you out of the blue, not from a bunch of guys posting that know absolutely zip about this Merc. A name given by one of us won't mean squat. One that you or your friend come up with, will.
It sounds like ther is certain darkness to all of the ideas for names. Here are a few of my contributions: "Devil's Mistress" "Lucifer's Lowride" "Satan's Latest Sin"
Cool.....I call mine "Betty Ford"....It drives me to drink, and it drives me to the Liquor Store.......
The doughnut maker ! sprinkles glazed chocolate pink on the inside The frialator The steamy hot oil bath for the dough ? lots of dough Winchell's The dough man I kneaded this ? chocolate salty balls the merc my wife must never know about doughn`t you just love it so who`s the proud owner ? I bet it lives in oak hill now....
I didn't read the entire thread, so this name may have already been suggested - But what about "licorice"? Todd
For that cool black jewel, how about "The Obsidian" ( glassy black mineral, native americans made arrowheads out of)
That's the thing, if he would have built the car himself, with some of the crap he would've had to go through to get it where it's at, there would be no problems naming it. Maybe drive it for a while, and with some of the experiences you have in it, a name will come to you. It would have more meaning then. Just my opinion.
I kinda agree with the guys saying that the owner should find a name for it.. working on something long enough will show you the traits of the car and be the best way to find a name.. but if you really want names..I'll be the third one to nominate "Licorice'.. its different and that car is deffinately eyecandy..
