HI All, I got some seats from my dad a LONG time ago, and I need to see what these are from. I believe he said they are from an impala, but I just don't know... I have heard cougar, and all in between. can some ID these bad boys? I want to put them in a 1954 customline. All help will be monumental. thanks! I need to get some tracks for them. thanks in advance!
Yep I had a pair in an OT pickup '68 or 9 Camaro. On a side note Impala seats were deeper ( thicker) than muscle car seats. Impalas were plush top of the line cruisers.
Back of the seat looks more Mopar-ish, I'm thinking mid sixties A body. This pic is from abodiesonly.com '
metal backs on the seats, thin chrome strip around that. they look like a good seat for these cars, but I need the adjustable tracks, and need to find the correct seat identification so I don't buy blindly! LOL
Phillips, I think you nailed it man.. looks exactly like the backs on my seats. so what do you think the year and model of them are from?
They will look good once you recover them. Should be cool in your customline. here's what I did, went to the junk yard to find some seats for my 34 Delivery. I found some 68 vette seats that weren't in a car. They were cheap, and I just needed the frames , funny, one of them had a snake living in it. They didn't charge me for the SNAKE! here's a photo how they turned out.
nice! are those boat speakers behind in the rear? looks like the tower pods you see on wakeboard boats!
NO just old head light buckets. The trim is from 59 Edsel, all junk yard parts. If your recovering the seats you can change them to suit your build. keep us posted . RON...
ahh! ok. yes, I am definitely going to change colors on the seats. and I believe the foam needs to be redone. my upholstery guy will know once I get to that point. I am also putting around the idea of painting the backs to match the inside dash and garnish moldings... I figure if they are metal it should work just fine!
