prolly be my 62 Caddy Sedan Deville. original white paint, and the most perfect black leather interior I have ever seen in an old car. drove like a Cadillac. everything worked but the autotronic eye was a bit funky.

  3. Of all the cars and trucks I've owned - and there were plenty of 'em and some quite valuable today - believe it or not, the one I'd still like to have would be my one-family-owned old '55 Chevy 210 Four-Door post sedan. COPO-order Jimmy six (Taxi option?), 3-speed, 4.11 rear and original everything. Cost me a used Holley Bug-Spray carb and $15.

It was such a clean, 100% original (excepting the Covico steering wheel I put on it) and tidy car and would have made a great cruiser. Being young, stupid and bad at budgeting (I was building my Porsche-powered VW at the time) I sold it to help fund the street racer project.

After going through a couple of more owners, the poor old Chevy ended up in a wrecking yard and I gather the yard's owner kept it as it had a big NOT FOR SALE sign on it.

That would be almost every car I've ever owned; it would be easier to list the ones I did'nt care for. And, this makes my ONE THOUSANDTH posting!!! Butch/56sedandelivery.

I started this thread mentioning the 2 cars I regret selling way back when. I found some photos of the one car and my buddy Mr AMC Guy posted it here for me....it is my 1949 Olds Club Coupe 76 model I believe had it painted in black lacquer...cheated a little on the massive chrome front end.....as even back in the day getting grilles and bumpers rechromed was costly.....
A fun car that I surely miss and never ever saw again anywhere.....in 30 plus years.

Wish I still had my 1964 Porsche 356SC that I owned in Germany back around 1970. Beautifully designed, built like a bank vault and a great autobahn cruiser!

    My 49 Ford.
THAT truck, is what started it all for me.
I just turned 18, didnt know any better and was slightly moved by the trends, like i said, didnt know any better.
The memories and the learning experiances will never be matched by any other ride.
Almost 4 years later, I can still smell the bias plys roasting....

  9. Oooh, there were so many I let go of and now regret my impulsive actions.
First- my '58 2 top Corvette, next my 427 '67 Corvette, a fuelie '57 BelAir I had in college, a GTO I bought new in 1970, and last of all my '40 Pontiac coupe.
The '40 was my first hot rod my friends and I built. We put a 303"Olds into it on a shoestring budget.
I thought I was the bomb in that coupe.

Unmolested '61 Bonneville convert. 389 tri-power, 4-speed, 3.23 limited slip, 8-lug wheels. It would destroy rear tires in first and second gear.

  13. Well my most current favorite car that I no longer own is a '53 Stude Commander. It is still in the garage but it will be gone this weekend and the deal has been struck so there is no turning back.

  14. 1969 GTO,1968 Camaro RS ragtop and my 1969 Chevelle ragtop....

My 1960 Austin Healey 3000 powered by Chevrolet. Wish I had had the money and a little more knowledge to make that one correct. Still think the Healey is a beautiful car.
