That's not what the old old parts book says. But who knows...it could be lying.

I'm pretty sure that Chevrolet didn't have 15 inch rims until 49 with the 5 lug rims.
48 Fleetline Aero sedan shows to use a 600 16 tire.

You might end up making your own using the 6 lug centers and 15x4 rims from the donut spares of something like 05/06 Chevy Colbalts or other smaller cars that have that size of spare wheel. There was a thread on swapping the centers and rims of wheels years ago on here.

And I have no frigging idea of how my type went to Italics but I did try to change it back.

Modern spare tire rims? I'm not sure about the six holes, but I was running a set of 16"x4" Mopar wheels on my Avatar truck that worked out great (albeit 5 holes).

But a set of full moon covers on a racey looking car would go a long way. It's a matter of application.
I've been contemplating using Ferguson 26 wheels 19x4 to replace 21 inch split plate wheels on my car. But will need a cover to look descent.

But there should be some nice artillery wheels from mid 30s available
What era/style/model and purpose are you building!
