When I see a Metropolitan all cut up with all four fenders cut out-It reminds me of the latemodel stock car look. You knwo where they have one peice of athe original car and a bunch of generic flat slabs of **** hung around the wide dirt tires to paint sponsors names on..... A met' has to be built -body uncut or it becomes something else entirely....and that aint good!
I was looking for a narrow rear for the Anglia a while back, and several web sites recommended the Dana 44 out of the later model postal Jeeps. I have lost the links since though.
Goober, thanks for the pics! As bad as this body is, I'm probably gonna end up cutting the front end off of it and making an altered out of it. Sorry Choprods, but the more I look at it, the more the answer seems to be to make an altered out of it. I'm going to have to completely rebuild all of the side panels, rockers, and most of the floor. If it had not have been free, I probably would not have fooled with it at all. Even the top part of the trunk is rusted out.
