Like most swap meets now, there is a lot of Chinese tools and late model garbage but there are some treasures to be found if you look.Usually a cold day

"Is it worth driving from Atlanta? pre-65 stuff?" not counting tri five Chevy stuff not that much pre 65 stuff. Like most other swaps. I drive 200 miles to it but I really like swap meets.some of it is outside or covered so weather is a factor

  11. Last time I went I was disappointed. I didn't own a Camaro or C-1o Chevy truck and I didn't need any cheap Chinese tools so I came home empty handed. All swap meets have been on a downhill slide for a few years now.
But then, you never know what people will bring.

  12. Hmmm c10 parts.
    Sounds cool

Well you guys are bringing me down! I was excited about this one as I've never been. I am looking for parts for my 55 GMC and 48 Willys. Sounds like the pickens may be thin?

  15. Go anyway. You never know what someone will bring. I have found some good deals, just not the last time I went. Its big enough to be worthwhile.

According to the weather forecast we will need to bring a rain jacket with the rain starting sometime mid morning. But I float so it doesn’t matter to me, and there’s quite a bit located inside so I’m gonna go ahead and load my buddies up and come on.

  20. Follow up?
I decided not to go this year, and from the YouTube vids from yesterday, it was a good decision..
At least the weather was nice for those who went.

    Anybody find any treasures?

I went and it was better than I expected. Found a pair of vent windows for my 55 GMC for $20, a door handle and horn button for $5. Saw what I think was a great deal.....all original 29 Model A pickup for $5k.

Not much there of interest to me. The same flathead stuff that was there last year was there again. I thought the 32 ford closed car cowl was a good deal for $400 but I didn’t need it.The water heated Eddie Meyer intake was for display only(why bring it if it wasn’t for sale)The 40 pickup and A pickup was nice. All in all a nice day with friends IMG_2165.jpeg IMG_2162.jpeg IMG_2160.jpeg IMG_2163.jpeg

  29. Good scores, Ed @kb cookout ! You must have bought up all the goodies.
It takes some serious searching to find that stuff laying on the floor under some guy’s table.
The YouTube vids on Saturday of all the LS stuff, toy cars, sunglasses, and other JUNK pretty much made up my mind NOT to go this year. Maybe next year. I really need to set up and sell off stuff.
I really miss the old fairgrounds venue.
