    Again thanks for this thread. I like your dedication to the way we raced them....by sound, by feel, and by the seat of our pants. I dug though some of my old pics and found this one from the 'Beach' circa ~ 1967. We were experimenting with the low air pressure thing with the M&H's and the Cragars. Enjoy, Dick M

  2. Beautiful. Paint job looks fantastic.I actually have Cragars on the back of my car at the moment, just for a change. I will take a pic in the next day or two.

    I raced again at the Antique Nats at Fontana. Made 4 runs, 2 were pretty clean with a best of 12.80. the other 2 were on the bumper but the engine kind of died mid air, haven't changed anything since San Diego so maybe it is jetting . It was super hot.

    Kev, the color was used by Buick in '54. It was called Mandarin Red. And, was used only one year for the Roadmaster series. Depending on the light conditions, the color tone would change. At night, under the lights, is when it was at it's best. Dick M
