Hey New England HAMBers- Good news. I drove by the Star Drive-In in Berkely MA last nite and it is re-opened! Looks really nice, all fixed up. For those unfamiliar, Star is a nice old ice cream burger joint that's been there forever. The car cruise will still be held down the road at the VFW. So, maybe we could get together there one eve? (I also would like to have a claHAMBake at my house one day this Spring maybe?)
That's cool. Glad to hear it's open again. Too bad I live at the other end of the state. All of our old drive-ins are long gone.
I also heard that they are going to have cruise night's on Friday nights. So far I only heard it second hand.
Such a great place. I hope its been resurrected well. I always had fun going there as a teen with my dad. Jay- I am up for the claHAMBake any time. You say "jump", I say "how high", and "can I get you a cream soda."

jay....i plan on firing up the new motor this weekend. if i get my driveshaft back tomorrow then i might be out cruisin' a little this weekend. i wish i could take it sunday up to fitchburg for the butcher's meeting at outlaw motorsports but i gotta carry a couple riders, JimV and another guy named Chap. i can't wait to try that 5-speed either, hope it makes a difference on the highway. i'm good with sausage on the grill, that would be great! i can't wait to drive this thing down there to see you and your projects. later, mike
