Anyone installed one of these. When I had my driveshaft made the shop installed one in it for me. Now that I am converting to a Maverick rear I need to remove it and darned if I can see how. Yes I have swapped ujoints before but this one is different. The body of the joint hits the yoke before the cup is out. Mystery to me.

Sounds to me like the driveshaft is a tad too long. There should be some front to back play anyway to keep the shaft from binding, and that play should be enough to clear the body of the u-joint. With that said, are you jacking the car up by the frame so the diff. drops down increasing the distance between the ****** and pinion yoke? Maybe I'm not understanding the issue.

Got the shaft out Rich, attempting to remove the old u joint and replace with a new one. Will you be at GG's next week?

Did you try using the new cups on the old Neapco joint? Maybe you won't have to take it completely apart.

That won’t work for sure Jeff, different id sizes. Not wanting to waste anymore time I took a die grinder and cut it out. New joint is in and drive shaft reinstalled. I would still love to know how they install. I sure could not figure it out.
