Great pictures and an interesting story, but is this a legitimate listing? Did someone create a story to go with pictures that were posted in 2014 at another website? See the same pictures here: http://tenwheel.com/view/32125-1956_ford_victoria_true__g***er_.html Is 2040-Auto a legitimate site? There is also a 2040-Parts website. There are comments on a few different forums questioning the legitimacy of both sites. Check out these comments here on the HAMB: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/2040-parts-website.1038855/ The 2040-Parts site was mentioned in our social group as part of Merccruzin’s 1953 MERCURY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER discussion. Maybe I’m just su****ious because I had two phone calls this week with an automated voice telling me that the Federal Reserve has a warrant for my arrest. Push 1 to talk to an agent! Enjoy the pictures. Enjoy the story. Please do some investigation before you give out a credit card number or other personal information!
My brother was in the market for an F1 pickup a few years ago. He searched the internet in the evenings then would send me the listings he liked for my opinion. I was amazed at how many “good” deals were scams like that. Pictures from a legit listing used to create a scam listing. If the deal looked too good I would do some research and found the legit listing every time.
