I have a 70 model Chevy C 10 Panel Truck with a 250 6 cylinder engine. I'm looking for an outfit that makes an extra thick exhaust manifold gasket for this motor. The manifold is slightly warped and leaks especially when it is warmed up. I know the best fix would be to have the manifold machined, but there isn't a machine shop anywhere near me. Thanks for any help.

Try Clifford Performance. They have header gaskets that are pretty thick and should work for your application.

I have used a 3' straight edge and a long file to straighten the one I had on my 235 Chevy 6. Use the straight edge to determine where and how much to remove to straightrn the exhaust manifold. Sometimes all that is need is to loosen the four bolts that hold the intake and exhaust together and install the manifolds before tightening the bolts between the two manifolds.

  4. Agreed...had this same thing happen with the 292 in my Biscayne.

If you can't fit it like what they said Take two of the Mr Gaskets and the Copper RTV and put them together Then coat both sides Then Install. The Copper RTV will not burn out. But if it's That badly warped it may not help. The Mrgasket # is 155.
    good luck
