need 66 truck rear end help

anyone knows what 10 bolt main rear end will mount up to my 66 chevy truck without much modification

 

'67 t0 '72 Chevy truck uses the same set up. Most of them were the 12 bolt though.

 

thanks someone told me i could get a faster takeoff with a 10 bolt or what would you recommend

 

I don't think 10 or 12 bolt is what makes it a faster takeoff. Its the gearing ratio in the rear end. Higher the #, (example 4.11's vs 3.0), the faster the takeoff.

I'd try to find a truck diff to keep your current wheel bolt pattern.

 

The newer rear end is 1.5 inches wider
