So I got my 292 put in my car this past weekend. Only thing is.... The rear hump in the oil pan is resting on my steering. NOT GOOD. Im tired of trying to make this damn thing fit. I really just want to get a good 302 w/ AOD cuz I know it will drop right in. Is there anyone here locally ( in AZ ) that has what I'm lookin for? I wanna trade straight across. Have extra parts and such that go with it. Thanks fellas. Rocky
He has a 292 from a truck that is the problem,Guys if you have a 54-56 p***enger oil pan and pickup make Rocky a deal!
Hope you find a car oil pan & pickup tube. If you get one you shouldn't have any trouble peddling the rear sump pan & pickup tube. When used in some applications, they allow the Yblocks to fit in cars with straight front axles, which is what we plan to do with my son's '47 SuperDeluxe if the flattie that's in it isn't rebuildable.
