need a 60 caddy transmission

i was told by a junkyard that 60 was different than the other years. anyway i drove over 4 hours yesterday, only to find this out. does anyone know where i could find one ? thanks, mike

 

Have you thought of an adapter to a more common Chevy trans?? Wilcap has been making them for years. I'm going to order one for mom's 59 390 to use a 4l60e or 700r4.

 

dont go with him..ive had a real bad run in with him. i bought A 59 caddy fender a year ago iwith a back clip of a 59 also. when the back clip came in there was no fender. i called him and he said he forgot to bring it up. abouy a week later i called again and now he said it was stolen. i said ok ill take my 500.00 back he said sure. this was in july. i still havent seen my money back yet. id call cadillac internatinal. the guys name is gary he is a stand up guy. the number is 845=365-8290

 

AFAIK the 59 and 60 are the same.
But you play hell finding anyone to work on a "Jetaway".
I got a 700R4 adapter kit here.
