Ok you ansered half of my question but I already new the cowl did didn't widen, if the top widened 4 in it's chopped what like 7 in? Is the truck in paint? Even if it is here's the REAL solution take the old gl*** wax it then get some thick sweatshirt material or fibergl*** lay it over the waxed shield. Pour some resin on that ****er when it kicks off trim it to the exact size of the shield if it'd real flimzy do more than one layer to get it stiff. You can't just the top you half to lay it back as well which means the bottom corners near the A pillers have to get ground down as well. The fibergl*** mold will help you figure out exactly what has to happen to the gl***. Now if it doest work completly you have something to show the owner and you have a road map to show you how to bring the opening to the gl***! Even if this thing is painted candy fix the opening then reshoot the roof make it a subtle two tone it will killer as the body lines around the roof lend to a two tone anyways! Make lemonaide outa lemons don't listen to all the negative BS this is salvagable for sure.

I forgot that pattern I'm talkin about is the used to lay over the new gl*** so you know exactly how it has to be cut usually this all happens during the chop you can fix this without redoing the whole roof and tell me it has a small back gl***!

You could take two windshields for that truck, cut them in half. Making one side long on opposite sides and run a separation bar in the middle like a regular two piece windshield. I did this on an early 80's pick up truck I widened 5" for a guy about 15 years ago.

Can someone explain to me how two windshields and a divider bar solve this guys problem when the cowl did not get widened or changed? This just doesn't make sense to me at all?

It is funny, nobody realizes the roof won't end up wider than the stock windshield at the height it needs to be cut off.
