I am going to make a new rear panel from the belt line down on my 29' Tudor Sedan and I need to know what the distance is from flange to flange at the bottom of the panel where it sit on the sub frame . I bought the body in peices and it was cut away from the sub frame. The back panel has alot of rot and missing both flanges where it originally bolted to the rear quarters, so I want to make sure I make it the right size.Hope that makes sense. thanks for any help.

I just checked on an original body I have here which has never been touched and the measurement from the subframe up to the edge of the flat surface of the beltline on the side of the panel aling the T bar strip is exactly 23 7/8 inches and a similar measurement but thru the center of the panel it reads 24 1/2 inches.

I hope this helps, another trick would be to use the side bolt holes as a guide also.

  3. Russ,I think the measurement Rustdust is after is across the subframe between the two rear quarters,at the base of the rear panel.I just went out and measured mine,I got 36 5/8".
This is the gap the rear panel bolts between at the subframe.
    Hope I got it right.
    Cheers Chris.
Ps,the front cover looks trick,Russ, talented lad is our Rod,aye?
