Technical Need a new distributor

back in the day, i ran a mallory dual-point with a capacitive-discharge unit with great results. the cd just used the points as a switch, so the points last a long time!

 

I have one of those too. Four years and 16,000 miles on it with zero problems.

 

I've been running a Mallory Double life in the 289 in my A for 40+ years. I've only had to change points twice, rotor and cap once.
