Ok I'm lookin' at this seal and not sure which way it goes in. Chrysler 440 mill...

My terminology ****s...does the big lip go toward the front or rear?

Need this one quick as possible guys...I'm all but under the car and covered in grease.

    Thanks!

Don't forget the 2 strips on either side of the rear seal retainer. Use a 'little' RTV on the edges too.

be careful, double check it, I managed to put one of those in backwards on a 440, and I knew ahead of time which way it's supposed to go!

Heheheh...yeah I checked it about four times to make sure I had it the right way before I finally stuck it in there. I've done enough stuff like that to make sure I over-check. :D

For the side rail seals, I just followed the instructions and soaked 'em in mineral spirits right before I put it all together. By the time I was gettin' to the last little bit of it goin' in they were swellin' up enough to make that last bit difficult. Is that not enough to keep them sealed?

Thanks again guys. Tryin' to help my bud get his Imperial back on the road. I am an idiot when it comes to mopars so it's been a challenge and a learning experience.
