I have a 36 IH C-1 in need of some body work. I am a novice body man, but I can weld. My 36 needs some cab corner work. They are not too bad, but I don't know if it would be better to complete cut the metal out or put a reinforcement piece on the inside. The metal is fairly thin, so it may to tough to cut it out. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Put up some good views of the shapes of the part you need. Then the fab guys will know exactly how to do it.

not many people here would know what the IH part looks like, unless they own one.

The cab corners on your truck are easy to replicate. You can bend a piece of tin to form over the current cab corner. I would be cutting out a good chunk so I would have solid metal to weld repair patch...pics would help..

The earlier IHC C series cabs had separate corners. I probably have some of these corners.
